The E-Mice Group's software-based services are focused on the issue or use of digital certificates – such as Hongkong Post e-Cert – to enable secure, authenticated and/or legally-binding communications and transaction processing across open networks such as the Internet.
Hongkong Post e-Cert
The Group's E-Mice Solutions (HK) Limited is the operator of e-Cert services of HKPCA, a recognized certification authority to issue recognized digital certificates in the HKSAR. HKPCA is one of the internationally-recognized issuer of digital certificates in the Greater China region. Individuals and organisations can submit their e-Cert applications through the post offices located across the HKSAR .
Hong Kong Public Key Infrastructure Forum Limited ("HK PKI Forum")
E-Mice Solutions is a member of HK PKI Forum, a not-for-profit organization established to promote the use of public key infrastructure technology and processes in enabling the capabilities of digital certificates. HK PKI Forum is a member of the Asia PKI Consortium, a non-Government entity with a permanent secretariat based in Beijing that promotes digital certificate usage across the Asia Pacific region. A representative of the E-Mice Group serves as Chairman of HK PKI Forum.
ECERTS Services
The Group's ECERTS Products & Services Limited subsidiary operates this secure Web-portal to allow Hongkong Post e-Cert subscribers who have completed online registration formalities on it and also maintain accounts with one of the largest local banks in the HKSAR to (a) view bills from time to time due from each of them to participating third-party service providers/merchants and (b) give legally-binding and encrypted electronic instructions to that bank for specified bills to be paid from each user's pre-designated bank account.
This portal uses e-Certs to authenticate the identity of each user so that he/she can only view his/her own bills (and no other) due from time to time to participating service providers/merchants, and can only give secure and legally-binding electronic instructions to pay such bills. In this way, this portal offers Hongkong Post e-Cert subscribers a very convenient channel through which to give online payment instructions.
EncryptMail
This is a hosted secure e-mail service offered by ECERTS Products & Services that enables subscribers using their Hongkong Post e-Certs to send or receive encrypted digital files and folders from anywhere in the world using PCs with Internet access. This service is offered to individuals as well as businesses on a monthly fee basis, depending on the amount of digital storage (per e-mail account) that a subscriber requires.
