Hong Kong E-Mice Seals Agreement with SZCA
for a Secured Online Platform
Cross-border Encryptone platform enhances online security to build a trusted community
HONG KONG, 11 July 2008 - E-Mice Solutions (HK) Limited (E-Mice), the operator of the Hongkong Post e-cert services, today signed an agreement with the Shenzhen Certificate Authority (SZCA) to strengthen the cooperation for better security in cross-border online commercial activities. Through this agreement, SZCA will adopt the Encryptone security platform with technical guidance and support from its original developer, E-Mice.
Launched recently in Hong Kong in July 2008, Encryptone is a multi-functional software with easy installation procedure. It can be used for encrypting or decrypting an electronic file or folder by assigning the encrypted files to be opened by the designated users. Encryptone can help ensuring that the encrypted file would not be opened by an unknown person. Additionally, it can be used for deploying an electronic signature from digital certificates.
"The signing of this agreement and our introduction of the Encryptone platform to Shenzhen CA marks a key milestone in our effort to develop a trustworthy and user-friendly cross-border data exchange platform for businesses and consumers in the Mainland and Hong Kong," says Jessica Chau, Chief Executive Officer, E-Mice Solutions (HK) Limited. "To support China's economic growth, E-Mice is committed to benefitting other mainland cities with our value-added technologies in the future".
Increasing need for secured online platform arising from growing cross border online communications
E-Mice fully believes that the need for better online security will grow rapidly as both cross-border trading activities and the resulting electronic communication continue to proliferate. Everyday individuals and businesses are sending confidential information such as financial reports, graphic design or even contracts over the internet. The cooperation between E-Mice and SZCA will offer these stakeholders a secured data exchange platform based on the Encryptone technology.
With the signing of the agreement between E-Mice and SZCA, customers of both companies can enjoy improved security, in addition to intellectual property protection of their business plans, product designs, architectural blueprints, etc. While the files are being shared across the border with strong encryption, security can simply be achieved with great convenience.
