Our Buisness

Applications

The E-Mice Group has developed 3 major software platforms as well as a number of software tools that utilizes the capabilities of digital certificates – such as Hongkong Post e-Certs – to enable secure, authenticated and/or legally-binding online communications or transaction processing.  Each of these major platforms and applications is briefly described below.

Customer Relationship Management ("CRM")

The E-Mice Group has developed 2 versions of its CRM platform: the first generation is server-centric and intended to operate primarily within a customer's private network while the second is Internet-Protocol ("IP") based and can be deployed across shared networks such as the Internet.  This platform has proven its ability when used by the Group's licensees to handle very large volumes of traffic: in excess of 40 million customer inquiries per month and more than 800 simultaneous system queries.

This platform's core modules are further described below:

Workflow

Automates and standardizes the processes for categorizing, collecting, retrieving and updating module licensees' information within a call center environment.

Call Center

Links the workflow management module with other critical systems (such as billing and call management/tracking) used by licensees (such as telecom services providers) to enable call center operators to answer billing inquiries, and send faxes, short messages and e-mails to customers from their terminals.  This module also tracks licensees' customer inquiries by recording the information being accessed by every operator on every call, as well as provides management with the capability of monitoring and analyzing call center and operator performance.

Operational CRM

Extends the capabilities of the call center module to all other parts of a licensee's operations so that call center functions and capabilities can also be enjoyed by other employees, such as those working in shops/customer care centers (via computers) and those "on the road" calling on major accounts (via PDAs and wireless connections).  It can also integrate all other channels of customer contact (e.g., via e-mail or automated answering system) onto the same platform so that every employee can have real-time information on every customer.

Analytical CRM

Draws information collected by the call center or operational CRM modules to enable management of module licensees to perform a wide range of customer behavioral/spending analyses (including projecting customer behavior using various "what if" scenarios) and to program the call center or operational CRM modules to automatically trigger an alarm or notice should account details for a customer fitting a certain profile be called up.

Knowledge Center

Comprises of a training module that delivers and tracks the training of call center operators and other employees on the E-Mice Group's various CRM modules, and a virtual product library.  The latter contains products (e.g., mobile phone handsets) available for sale and is a tool for teaching call center operators and other employees the functions and features of such products quickly through the use of interactive graphics, diagrams, illustrative comparison tables etc.

Several major mobile telecom service providers in the Greater China region have licensed use of this visual library to enable their call center operators to "teach" customers how to use their handsets without such operators having any prior knowledge of how to use such devices or having the physical handsets in front of them.

i-School

This platform has been developed utilizing the Group's expertise in architecturing large-scale software systems primarily to (a) automate administrative processes within schools and other educational institutions, (b) facilitate the giving and automatic tracking of various forms of payment instructions, and (c) control and track digital access to confidential school databases using the same high level of security approved of for use in Internet banking transactions in the Greater China region.  This platform stores digital information on each student separately, and is configured to optimize data exchange with the HKSAR Government's WebSAM system.

The platform's core modules are further described below.

Attendance

Enables automated attendance-taking of students (and teachers), tracking of attendance on a real-time basis school-wide, and updating of attendance records on an individual basis.  The real-time tracking feature monitors attendance both school-wide as well as on individual class-room basis, and so enable school principals or administrators to quickly identify the possibility of an infectious illness affecting a particular class or the whole school.  The attendance recording feature is also capable of differentiating and automatically tracking individual students' attendance at events outside of the school, to simplify record keeping/monitoring especially after the introduction of the HKSAR Government's 3-3-4 initiative for students to spend a greater proportion of their school time on a broader range of extra-curricular activities.

This module works with smart cards and smart card readers, with the latter being linked to a school's computer system.

Payment

Enables schools to receive payments from parents of students by giving authorizations in an approved form either digitally or by hand, and students to use their smart cards (issued by the E-Mice Group) to make small value payments within school premises.  Payments instructions are processed by the Group's partner bank, being one of the largest such institutions in the HKSAR.

The platform retains records of all payments and payment instructions given, to enable school administrators to reconcile receipts as well as individual parent or student to view his/her personal "account" (but no other, unless authorized by the school).

With the permission of the school, third party merchants (such as school book vendors) can also make use of this platform to collect payment from students and track daily sales progress within specific schools.

Additional Modules

Includes modules to facilitate the management of library books and the tracking of valuable school property (such as notebook computers and projectors).

The E-Mice Group has a development road-map that calls for the introduction of additional core modules to its i-School platform in the months ahead to leverage upon its online authentication and strong security features to offer a range of online learning and interaction capabilities for students.

i-Office

This is the companion platform to i-School for the office environment, with modules to track employee attendance/premises access as well as access to secure corporate computer systems and/or digital databases.

This platform can also enable companies to arrange online payment of employee salaries in a secure manner, by enabling the giving of legally-binding electronic payment instructions to banks coupled with the generation and dispatch of encrypted payroll data.

Encryptone

This is an application developed to enable to use of certain recognized digital certificates – such as Hongkong Post e-Certs or those issued by Shenzhen Digital Certificate Authority Center Co., Ltd. – to protect confidential digital data kept in virtually any software format by encryption.  Such data can either be protected when being maintained on a digital certificate subscriber's own PC or storage device (such as USB-enabled storage media) or transmitted to another subscriber of a recognized digital certificate via e-mail.

The Encryptone program is highly automated to enable digital files and folders to be encrypted and decrypted using recognized digital certificates with ease and is capable of being deployed from personal computers using either a Microsoft or Apple operating system.
